As a staunch reader of fiction, there is a high probability that I would have never encountered You Are Meant for Great Things. However, a friend mentioned this book to me and asked me to read it. I figured that I could read a chapter here and there between my various novels.
Well, before I was through the first chapter, I was hooked. I could NOT stop reading this book! Seriously! I read page after page, hoping for a natural stopping point to pick up on the next day. That stopping point never came. Over and over, I had to find out what happened next.
And so I finished reading the book in a single day.
Donziger shares a story that is inspiring, thrilling, emotional, witty, and, at times, downright funny. I not only rooted for her success - and, frankly, expected it, because, you know, the name of the book - but I sincerely felt like I was a part of her world.
I loved her positive attitude and appreciated her honesty about struggling to maintain it. Whether you are looking to be inspired, to obtain strategy on overcoming obstacles, or to just enjoy well-written narrative, you will enjoy this book.
